Publix Named Pensacola Marathon’s New Presenting Sponsor

The Pensacola Marathon is pleased to announce Publix as its new presenting sponsor for the 2013 event.  The Publix name and logo will be tagged on all signage, media, website, logo, etc. declaring the race as the Pensacola Marathon Presented by Publix.

Race participants will see en enhanced post-race party food selection to include cookies, fruit, muffins, and chocolate milk.  Participants will be able to sample Publix branded food at the Expo and Packet Pick-Up as well as receive a Publix logoed premium giveaway item.  Additionally, Publix staff will be at the finish line assisting runners and passing out water, food, and the official race medal.

“We are very appreciative for Publix’s commitment to this event as it continues to grow and be one of the best half, full, and full relay events in the area,” said Ray Palmer, Executive Director of the Pensacola Sports Association, the event’s managing company.  “Publix is a great community partner in the Pensacola area and we are proud the Pensacola Marathon is an event they want to align themselves with.”

Publix is not new to the Pensacola area racing scene.  It also is the presenting sponsor of the Pensacola Double Bridge Run, arguably one of the best and most scenic 15K races in the country.
